Not at all. We welcome every level, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. If you are new to Pilates, we recommend starting with an intro session so your instructor can get to know your body and tailor your first experience accordingly.

Comfortable, form-fitting clothing you can move freely in. Think leggings, fitted tops, or workout wear you would wear to any movement class. No socks are required — Pure Pilates is preferably a barefoot studio however if you want to wear socks you’re welcome to..
Ladies and Gentlemen, please wear compression shorts under shorts that are not form fitting.

Private and semi-private sessions are typically 55 minutes. Group Mat classes run 50 minutes. Tower and Chair classes vary by format however usually in the 50 minute range.

Classical Pilates follows the original method and sequence developed by Joseph Pilates — the full system, in order, as he intended it. Contemporary Pilates incorporates modern adaptations and physical therapy influences. At Pure Pilates, we teach the classical method. If you want the original work, this is where you come.

Yes. We work with clients across a wide range of bodies, histories, and recovery stages. Please mention any injuries or limitations when booking your intro session so your instructor can plan the session appropriately. We do not take a one-size-fits-all approach.

An intro session is a private, one-on-one appointment designed to introduce you to the classical method at your own pace. It covers your goals, your movement history, and your first experience on the apparatus. It is strongly recommended for all new clients and is the fastest path to getting the most out of your time here.
